Reuse Water

The Utilities Commission's 7.0 MGD Advanced Treatment Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) reuse system consists of one (1) high service pump station, chlorine disinfection system, nine (9) sand filters, a two (2) million gallon ground
storage tank, and approximately 79 miles of transmission/distribution mains. Over 700 residential customers, four (4) local golf courses, city parks, road right-ofways/ highway medians and the city's sports complex rely on this product for their irrigation needs. On an average day this facility produces 3.5 million gallons of highly treated reuse effluent. A new 13 acre reuse storage and distribution pond was put into service in 2006. This project will allow us to supply more customers with reuse.
